Don't be a jerk
A year ago a startup was 15 people looking to hire 35. Fully funded, plenty of runway.
Now, everyone is jumping ship.
Why?
Because the founder turned out to handle the growth poorly and acted like a jerk along the way.
I do not think he meant to. It just snuck up on him. Maybe it was the success, maybe it was stress, maybe something else.
There are many things you cannot control in life. Yourself is not one of them. If you catch it in time.
Who is telling you if you are acting like a jerk? Are you listening?
