Right vs. Alright
There is a big difference between being 'right' and being 'alright' when you think about your team, product/service, and your execution.
Ask yourself:
- Do we have the right people?
- Are we doing the right things?
- Are we doing those things right?
If you think the answer is yes to all three, you are wrong.
The most important one to get right is 1. followed by 2. and 3. Yet, most people spend time worrying about 3., then 2. and are challenged by dealing with 1.'s that are not 1.'s.
If in doubt, spend more time with your people, on their way into your company and when they are there.
They will determine your chances for success more than anything else.
