Two sayings and three questions that has served me when starting something new
"Start with the end in mind"
Or: "Schedule the end"
Two sayings, as well as the following three questions, have served me well over the years when starting something new:
- What are we attempting to achieve?
- What occurs next, and who is responsible?
- How will we know when we've completed this activity/question/discussion?
There isn't always a beginning, middle, and end to a story.
Actually, everything has an end. It can take anywhere from a few seconds to a lifetime to complete. But, in the end, it all comes to an end 😉
Knowing this and selecting when, and more importantly, what that end will be (when you are able) is a very strong tool in your personal and professional armory.
