"But, I can't...."

"But, I can't...."

A founder recently talked about making challenging choices in the business.

“It is not that you can’t, I said, it is that you won’t…”

You see, it's not the obvious bad decisions that sink a business; it is the accumulation of mediocre ones that quietly build up.

Dealing with the bad is easy, but it's harder to act when the danger lies in lacking urgency, decisiveness, or … wanting everyone to love you.

Letting mediocrity persist makes it increasingly difficult to correct course.

It involves tough conversations, disappointment, and admitting mistakes, which most avoid.

If mediocrity existed in isolation, it wouldn't be a problem.

But the accumulation of these mediocre elements derails us, like clogging pipes or fatigue that builds over years of not sleeping right.

We often know what needs to be done but hesitate due to fear and discomfort.

Life is much easier when you make the decision you need to make already and move on.

What are you holding back on deciding?
