Early in my career, I had to unlearn only trying to get great ideas
I was going for home runs every time.
Once I understood the goal was to get as many ideas as possible and hopefully a bunch of bad ones, then the good ideas would follow.
I was more relaxed and more open to seeing what might be in something that others thought was rubbish. It often was, but I got good at identifying good ideas faster than my peers and built my first business on that ability.
